Towards the end of 2021, I had the opportunity to work with the fine folks at Digit to build and update their illustration system for both product and marketing. A year later, after Digit was acquired by Oportun, I was tasked to help refresh Oportun's illustration style, drawing on the work we had created for Digit. Together we developed a robust illustration system and continued to evolve the library.

It has been an honor to partner with Adobe to be an ambassador for the Adobe Creative Cloud for the past couple of years. The ambassador program is called Adobe Insiders and is comprised of a handful of artists and creatives from around the globe.
Part of our mission was to champion our local communities and embrace the good around us. I had the opportunity to collaborate with a local organization here in Omaha, NE, called The Big Garden. They are a non-profit whose goal is "growing healthy food, healthy kids, and healthy communities." Together we combined forces to create a mural that they could hang on their property that reflected their mission and showcased what they are all about. Overall the process was really fun and collaborative. After pitching the initial concept sketch to The Big Garden I created the artwork in Adobe Illustrator. We made a few tweaks to get the artwork finalized and then from there we went around and gathered up all of the materials we would need and began to prepare the board we would be painting on. After we got the image sketched onto the board we began painting! The painting took about three days to create and wouldn't have been possible without the help from all of the wonderful employees and volunteers that helped bring this to life.

I had the honor of working closely with the design team at Clif Bar to help create some new illustrations for various products, including the all-new Energy Granola. The Energy Granola illustration was inspired by the granola that Clif Bar founder Gary Erickson would make for the hiking trips he guided in the High Sierra mountains. We created an epic landscape illustration inspired by this spectacular region which is known for its natural beauty. We highlighted specific geographical features such as granite outcroppings, meandering streams, foggy valleys, and snow-capped mountain peaks. And of course, we included a group of hikers and their furry companion. I am a bit biased, but this granola is super delicious. Keep your eyes peeled for these on shelves near you!

For the better part of 2019, I worked closely with the design and marketing teams at Egencia, the corporate travel division of Expedia, to help develop their overall illustration style. The work was produced for both product and marketing materials.
The illustrations were created to complement Egencia’s use of photography and the other brand elements to enhance their storytelling abilities. The role of these illustrations was to simplify and soften complex or dry concepts that couldn’t be adequately captured by photography or to create variety in channels where photography becomes repetitive. We focused on creating illustrations that were inclusive, international, modern, and instructive.
